从U 40尺寸到U 110尺寸的U-MU系列蜗轮箱的外壳采用压铸铝合金制成。仅在U-MU 30尺寸上，外壳和电机连接法兰由尼龙PA 6.6 GF 30（30％玻璃纤维增强聚合物）制成，以便使其能够在恶劣的环境中使用（化学和食品工业以及航海应用），并提供出色的性价比。一般而言，该材料具有很高的耐磨性和抗冲击性，出色的机械性能（可在温度变化时保持稳定），高动态应力强度以及出色的尺寸稳定性。此外，这种聚合物被证明对润滑剂，脂肪，油，燃料，溶剂和清洁剂，盐水溶液和稀酸具有抵抗力。

Wormgearboxes of the series U-MU from the size U 40 up to the size U 110 included, have the housing made in pressure die casting aluminium alloy. Only on the size U-MU 30, housing and motor connection flanges are made of nylon PA 6.6 GF 30 (30% glass fiber reinforced polymer),in order to enable their use in aggressive environments (chemical and food industry as well as nautical applications), and to offer an excellent price-to-quality ratio. Generally speaking,the material has a high abrasion and impact resistance, remarkable mechanical properties that keep steady at temperature changes, a high strength to dynamic stresses as well as an excellent dimensional stability. Moreover, this polymer proves resistant to lubricants, fats, oils,fuels, solvents and detergents, saline solutions and diluted acids.
